Today Gabe had his one remaining tube removed from his ear. They were put in a little over two years ago (that's the bottom picture) and did wonders for his overall health, but all good things must come to an end. One fell out naturally (that's what they are supposed to do!) but one didn't want to leave his hospitable little head, and so the doctors decided to take it out. We headed over to NY Eye & Ear really early Tuesday morning, and after making sure to bring his stethoscope ("in case Dr. Godin forgets his") and changing into some pretty funny PJs, Gabe was ready to go. He was awesome -- totally willing to wear that funny hat AND to put the mask on. And even though he was a little out of it when he woke up, he was totally fine once dad arrived with some apple juice! After a quick car ride home, we celebrated with french toast.
