Nov. 22: To round out the weekend, we headed to the zoo. Not just any zoo, but the BRONX zoo. Jonah had his first real zoo experience, and he loved it, especially the monkey cave. And we were so surprised that Bison are zoo animals! The best part, though, was when we got to see the zoo keepers feed the tigers! In this picture the tiger was just looking hungrily at the nice guests waiting to watch him have lunch. We couldn't really get a good shot of the actual mealtime. Oh, and we almost got to see a rhinoceros that had recently been given a new home. Unfortunately she was feeling shy, so we had to settle for the statue. When we showed Gabe this lovely family picture in front of the statue, he said, "wow, that's a great looking rhino!" hmmmm.
