Today was Daddy's birthday, and boy did we have a great day! It started with the ability to actually sleep in, thanks to Suzki and Pops. Then we had a really great time hanging out and playing and stuff. Plus, there were lots of cards to open and gifts to unwrap, and who doesn't like Carvel cake??? Luckily Gabe was around to help dad read the box of one gift, or else we may never have really known it was a GPS unit. And he really really loved dad's (cool?) new shoes. His favorite color is purple, so what could be better than these shiny purple shoes!?! Mom was a bit worried that he liked them so much, and hopes this will not be the beginning of another sneaker collecting tradition, but we all thought it was pretty funny to hear Gabe exclaim (seriously... he exclaimed) "Oh My God!" when he saw them.
After nap we headed over to our friends the Simpsons to share some yummy pizza and cupcakes. What a great day. Too bad tomorrow is back to reality.
